CT State Comptroller Nancy Wyman endorses Marie Friess-McSparran
October 5, 2009I have been fortunate throughout my years of elected office to have worked with many exceptional public officials. In New London there is a bright new face to politics. Although Marie Friess-McSparran is new to the pursuit of public office, she is no stranger to public service. Throughout her involvement in the community, Marie has developed a solid understanding of the need for sound fiscal management. Marie was appointed to the Economic Development Commission, a clear signal that others recognize her commitment to the community and financial future of New London. Marie believes it is essential to maintain an environment of teamwork with state legislators and council members, as well as community and business leaders. I believe Marie will bring new vision and leadership to the New London City Council and foster renewed commitment to fiscal responsibility and economic growth. Marie Friess-McSparran has worked hard in the community and has earned our support. She truly deserves to be elected as New London moves forward in these inspiring times.
